I kind of agree with their anger though. The demonization of all Cops needs to stop. And the NYC Mayor haven't been much of a help. Only finger pointing at the Police. That is not good leadership. Allowing some Protesters saying things like '“What do we want? Dead cops! When do we want it? Now!”'. And not saying anything against it, but after the fact that 2 Police Officers are dead. Dividing public opinion. Instead of bringing people together to find ways to make it work for all. Not surprise there is this resentment.
NYPD is the worst yall really don't know, my mother has worked for NYPD over 20 years and she hates them all. The **** she tells me that goes down is so bizarre I'm not ready for it, it's nothing but racist white men and she woks at the headquarters in the city and basically all the black people there have been getting demoted and fired

Only the NYPD are against him. The people of NYC support the mayor, and that's all that matters. As a New Yorker, I really don't blame the mayor. History has shown how horrible some of them can be. And not just against blacks but other non-whites.
