I love it. I get alot of 80s 90s belinda carlisle and other kind of feel good songs.
First listen standouts
Style
Out of the woods
Bad blood
Wildest dreams
This love
I love places
I feel like Wildest dreams would be a great next single
I kind of would like the single line up as follows:
Shake it off late Summer
Blank Space late Fall
Wildest dreams late Winter
Style late Spring
Bad blood late Summer
This love or Out of the woods late Fall
So many good songs but moreso single material songs that it's hard to choose.
All you had, clean and how you get...are the only songs on first listen that don't move me. Not bad but meh...
Well, I'm glad I contributed to this week sales because this will solidify her icing Frozen out of #1, right.

Thanks

Thanks for posting this
I didn't mean we thought the same (But I'm glad most of my favorites were there), I meant the diversity in this base.
BTW, CLEAN is NEVER a song for first listen; THIS LOVE is though..for me; I'm surprised you felt the same only after first listen.

Agreed!
Look back at all 5 of Taylor Swift albums, the consistency, the innovation (intentionally put these 2 words together)
and the trend...
I don't think 25 will be as successful as 21 both artistically and commercially.

I think 25 will outsell 1989, I mean the record label knows how to promote this leading up to the release and this will open up with 1.5 Million in the US!

Adele is going to make everyone vanish, how can you even doubt it.
She's the biggest phenomenon since Michael Jackson and Thriller.

When you guys do the comparison, you must fist know how big 1989 was /will be...and its longevity.
I agree with the comparison between 21 vs 25 and FEARLESS vs SPEAK NOW, but SPEAK NOW was unique, Adele can NOT repeat. And they have totally different fan bases, if Adele lost longevity, she lost everything.

I agree that the Grammy committees won't let her win AOTY again but I'm not too confident about the latter part. The hype for her new album is quite strong, she could sell more than copies 1989 but definitely less than 21.

The best of CLEAN is the emotions, the intense ones, that's typical TAYLOR whom we love so much.
On 1989, emotion-wise, CLEAN is the closest to ALL TOO WELL, the other one is THIS LOVE.
CLEAN is NEVER a song for first listen (yes, even not for me), but It's the wine of the album, XO...

Sorry for this post, to people who hate BAD BLOOD:
BAD BLOOD is the sparkling wine (which I love) IN 1989, red one, DARK RED like bad blood.

I involved in this debate because of this.
NO one did better than Taylor on this, the hype directly reflects on first week sales, who can defeat Taylor on this?
Edit: SPEAK NOW was just the start of this first week sales miracle (My point in my previous post)
I'm not certain about 25's longevity which relies on quality, 25 will not fail for sure, but I'm not sure about how big it will be.
Edit2: Ryan Tedder's work on 1989 didn't help me thinking about the quality of 25, sorry to a lot of many many people.

Hey, all you had to do was stay
Had me in the palm of your hand
Then, why'd you had to go and lock me out when I let you in
Stay, hey, now you say you want it
Back now that it's just too late
Well could've been easy
All you had to do was stay
