Wait this has made me remember ARTPOP got a gold certification from Spain (20k) which later was taken away because actual numbers leaked and it barely reached 10k. It was Spain's music industry trying to cover the really bad music sales we've been having lately

10M records WW isn't very impressive but well. 40℅ of that 10M being Applause sales :clap3;

The Do What U Want video would have probably given her bad controversy, not good controversy like Judas or Alejandro. The concept was just not tasteful.

"Judas" and "Alejandro" were not good controversy, in my opinion. They damaged her image going into Born This Way which stuck around for a while. I would say "Born This Way" and the meat dress were better examples of good controversy.

But yeah, she was wise to not release "Do What U Want". It would not have been pretty.

There was a psychic who said that she would release 4 singles out of ARTPOP. That was the very first time i wanted a psychic to be real
