Nicki's team really was kinda stupid releasing the Anaconda video in the week we all knew SIO was coming, she coulda easily snatched #1 the week before or the week afterwards
This song forever convinced me that JT has an amazing sense of melody but CANNOT for the life of him write lyrics about anything that isn't sex.
the lyrics are kind of parody-like but that's why the song is memorable. they've always stuck with me compared to lyrics that are "normal" or whatever. tbh i really like storytelling songs when the melody is good (poor taylor!)
