Drake having a penis makes all the difference, but it isn't just that. Nicki damaged her brand a bit with the release of her second album. I do think this album will have nice longevity though.
Don't forget American Idol too. She damaged her reputation pretty much then and there which led to a loss of fans as well.
THIS WEEK'S SPS CHASER: As promised, we follow up this week's album mini-chart with a corresponding SPS (Sales Plus Streaming) roundup. What's different once singles and streams are factored in? Among other developments, Taylor Swift fortifies her lead (thank you, "Blank Space"and "Shake It Off"), Nicki Minaj and the newly platinum Pentatonix switch places, Sam Smith adds 21k, Hozier hops up to #15 and Garth Brooks, who's not streaming or selling individual tracks, drops two spots. Speaking of streaming, let the holiday booze flow! (12/23p)
I swear if Taylor wasn't selling that much everyone would be praising Nicki.
Not everyone can sell 200k+ (250k+ if you include streams) nowadays. Slay, Queen of Rap! Selling as much as most of the pop girls (Taylor should be excluded since she's in another level)!

I'm glad Nicki got #2. It would have sucked to be blocked at #3 when you would gotten #2 or #1 in most other weeks of the year.
Barbz, please chill, though. Lots of people wanted Nicki to completely flop, and she didn't, but 200,000 sales in the week before Christmas (given the amount of promotion she did and two Top 3 hits she had) is really no reason to brag and boast.
