Top 10 Artists of 2014

	#10 Lady Gaga Plays: 415 2013: #6 Entries in Hot 150: 1 Most of these plays are probably rolled over from ARTPOP hype and G.U.Y., and I think the Do What U Want remix with Legend X. So she has been through a couple of shitstorms this year and even dropped a jazz album that I've not listened to. But I will always love my Mother Monster and she will always slay my heart as long as she stops rambling about "art".
	#9 Arcade Fire Plays: 424 2013: NA Entries in Hot 150: 3 Got into them at the very very end of 2013. Their music is so cool, they're larger than life and they're even boppable. Reflektor was an amazing album and I'm slowly trying to listen to their previous ones. So far I'm in love with The Suburbs!
	#8 Sky Ferreira Plays: 463 2013: NA Entries in Hot 150: 2 Same with Arcade Fire, I got into her debut album right at the end of 2013. Loved it. I really love the grunge-y sound. Then I checked out her discography and I can't believe how varied her music is, from dance pop to alternative rock to folk. It seems like she'll be going for a more 80s pop route next album and though I think I'll still prefer it rock-ish, I am extremely excited for it.
	#7 Lorde Plays: 512 2013: #11 Entries in Hot 150: 3 This girl who is 9 months younger than me never fails to blow my mind. Like, she's 9 months younger and is besties with Taylor Swift? Makes me seriously reconsider what I'm doing with my life. Her music is so amazing, her personality is so amazing and I just love everything about her, what she stands for etc. Her age is the last straw for stanning, it's like I'm trying to grow up with her.
	#6 The 1975 Plays: 526 2013: #33 Entries in Hot 150: 4 Their album is still gold. I love their indie pop/rock sound, yet they don't shy away from being labelled as a pop band (the Girls video is misleading). Apparently there were rumours Matty and Taylor were dating, and I pray to god it's not true (cuz he's really not her type) BUT I would totally love a collab!

#5 Lana Del Rey Plays: 565 2013: #30 Entries in Hot 150: 3 Kicking off the top 5 is one woman who I just really love. Her music is out of this world and is so different. Sometimes she may seem a bit off in real life, which is kind of heartbreaking. But at least she really transfers that into her music and it's so poignant and it really makes me fall in love with her. I hope she continues making music forever.

#4 Beyoncé Plays: 621 2013: #59 Entries in Hot 150: 2 After Beyoncéing (yep that's a thing now) an album at the end of 2013, the world grew to admire and bow down Beyoncé once again. That was it, the final slab of slay that solidifies her status in the universe. Bitch can do no wrong (except for 7/11), she always delivers quality (except for 7/11) and she's basically the King.

#3 Paramore Plays: 673 2013: #2 Entries in Hot 150: 1 My favourite band ever merely moves down a spot this year even though they've basically only had one (massive) single in 2014. I'm somehow still listening to their music a lot, or perhaps it's because I participated with their album for the Choose the Album game. But anyway, I cannot wait for new music. I hope they do a bit more rock-ish stuff this time, but I do not mind them to keep playing with the synths.

#2 Tegan and Sara Plays: 1072 2013: #3 Entries in Hot 150: 1 Displacing my favourite band in the world are my new-found favourite lesbian twin duo in the world! I only started stanning late last year (thanks to you know who ) and throughout this year I've just been discovering their entire discography (except their first two "mixtapes") and I'm just so glad I did. They make such incredible music that I could listen to forever. It's like, they were making the kind of music that falls right in my alley. So good so good.

#1 Taylor Swift Plays: 4426 2013: #1 Entries in Hot 150: 1 Woooo! Who expected this? The Lord #1? Who thought so? Okay jokes aside, of course she's #1, especially after releasing a brand new album. I have so much to say about this woman, that I don't know what to even say. She slays, I've doubted her many times over some career choices of hers, but they were proved unfounded most of the time. You may say I'm just blindly stanning, but there must be a reason why I'm stanning right? I will take years to explain what's so amazing about her. Okay enough rambling!
