The "it's easier for white artists to break in hip-hop" argument is so ridiculous. What about Brooke Candy, Kreayshawn, Paul Wall (someone with talent), etc.? Even the more "well-known" ones like Mac Miller and Asher Roth (lol) are flops. Eminem, Iggy, and Macklemore are the only white artists with significant success in urban music this century. Even before that, Vanilla Ice and The Funky Bunch were two-hit wonders and were never well-received.
