I don't know what's worse -- T-Pain-in-the-Ass and the excessive use of Auto-Tune in similar artists, or Death Cab for Cutie, one of the shittiest bands to come out in the last 5 years. Kanye's 808s is his best album and that's much more than I can say about Death Cab.

Wow. People on ATRL are some of the dumbest people I know. Auto tune has destroyed rap music. Look what it's done to Kanye and Lil Wayne, just to name a few. But they can have their multi-platinum albums...I'll take Death Cab and their amazing music over it any day of the week

808s and Heartbreak is a masterpiece. Kanye wasn't looking to make a rap album with that. Don't worry he'll be back with his next rap album to **** on you.

Oh and how many songs has Lil Wayne used Auto-Tune on? I swear some people exaggerate things. Listen to Tha Carter III it's still a rap album even though Wayne uses Auto-Tune on Lollipop.

Okay, we're all using opinions here, but I don't think it is. "Masterpiece", I reserve for College Dropout, for Late Registration. Hell, I think that Graduation is a masterpiece, at least when compared to 808s. It does have its share of pretty good songs, but it also, unlike the other Kanye albums, has more than one or two noticeable stinkers.

Honestly, I think it has more to do with him actually trying to sing than using Autotune, but I just felt like saying this.

You know very little about the music industry if you define success by the number of platinum records a band or an artist gets.

Death Cab have developed a fan base while maintaining critical acclaim. With each album, their sales get stronger, they score more radio hits, while maintaining both critic and fan approval.

Don't get me wrong, I love Kanye West when he raps. And I appreciate what he was going for by doing 808s, but auto-tune has been so overused now it's pretty ridiculous. And have you heard Lil Wayne's most recent mixtapes? How bout the disaster that is "Prom Queen"? I'm sorry, I love TC3 as much as the next person, but he's just shooting himself in the foot with this autotune crap.

So yes, DCfC is right...Kanye, Lil Wayne, T-Pain, etc., please go back to what you do best, and stop screwing the industry over with autotune.

2. I dont think auto-tune is "destroying" music, I do think that it brings people in the spotlight who cant sing for their life but with the help of computers they sounddecent and become a "artist"
