Considering the magazine is from 1958 and Pepper is looking at it after being committed to Briarcliff in 1962, I honestly think Elsa dies. The "STILL" part is a big clue. Something must have happened (either she lost her fame/career, or she died and they are commemorating her) or else they would just say "She owns Friday nights"

Or she's been on top from the time Freakshow ended. I hope she doesn't die 😭
