Horrible. This is really spiralling.

I was staying there with a friend last week. Pretty surreal. Arrived to Ferguson protests and it was just all so foreign and tense.

Yeah, I can read. Many is greater than not all. That was my point.

Way to totally undo all the peaceful acts that had been done beforehand.

So tragic. My heart goes out to the victims' families. He just gave the protesters a terrible image.

It's sad but I can't feel sorry for them, unfortunately it's probably going to keep happening

I understand why this happened, but this is still wrong, and on top of that, he pretty much killed the wrong target.

If he really wanted to get a revenge that would make sense, he would have killed two white officers.

Regardless of who he shot, R.I.P. the two officers, because they didn't deserve it.

I don't even think he did it in retribution for Eric Garner or Mike Brown, the man shot his girl in the stomach and knew he was being locked away. He just wanted a reason to do something stupid smh

Whoever thinks that this dude paints a terrible image of protesters is an idiot. No rational person would allow one individual to paint an image of a whole group of people that have nothing to do with this. Either they have those expectations of the group from the start or they don't.

But of course people in society think this way so I expect Officers to be even more paranoid, disrespectful and excessive now in the city, especially around the housing projects and somebody is going to be shot for no reason again from both sides.

I don't even believe his actions had anything to do with Eric Garner, doubt he was concerned if you really think about it and look at his past but the media will portray it that way because he used it as an excuse.

It's worldwide and throughout history true. Collaborating with the enemy, betraying your own kind,... is worse than the enemy. Usually punished by angry mobs dragging them through the streets to be humiliated in public, shaving head for the females (literally weave snatched) and beaten/tortured/"re-educated" or shot to death.
Even when you don't have a negative opinion on blacks, life experience will give you negative encounters.

e.g. Black in a car is outright dangerous. Arabs can be wild drivers, but at least they can drive and don't kill you. In the capital of Europe (Brussels) we have a lot foreigners on the roads, plenty without a local driving license.

My encounter was a black in a car that broke down in front of me. He opened the bonnet, touched a wire on the battery, suddenly the car start moving backwards uncontrolled and crashed into my car. He forgot to take his driving license with him and I called the cops to check his driving licence number.

All the levels of low hood activities combined:

• Car broke down because someone can't afford proper maintenance or can't afford a car that actually works or is such a bad driver that there will be dents everywhere soon (therefore don't waste money on a good car).
• Fixing your car in the streets because you can't afford the service garage, repair shop.
• Not using the handbrake, leaving it in gear and being a danger for yourself or someone else.
• Not taking your driving license with you. It's a hood habit to make the cops harder to identify you in riots.

When I see a black in a car with dents everywhere, I'm getting the **** out of here. Just self-preservation.

Just stating the facts and how adults (who don't want to get killed) behave. There is a difference between driving away (risk reduction) and yelling at him that he better not trash the parking lot (implying someone for something that he hasn't done yet).

I understand that youngsters might have an idealistic world view. Life experience will change that soon.
