So there has been a lot of talk about racism on here recently and I was wondering, do you think racism will always exist? Ideally I would like to think not and that in the future people will be more understanding and less ignorant, however realistically I believe that racism will always exist. It's a sad fact and one I wish wasn't true, but I honestly don't see racism ever being wiped out. I mean, I think things can be improved and more awareness raised but I think it will always be a part of the bad things in society.
Unfortunately I don't see racism go away anytime soon. I don't really get racism. You hate another human being because he/she has lighter/darker skin than you? I guess most people on this world are stupid.
An individual, case by case, personal, racial prejudice will always exist, yes. But the institutionalized system of power and influence that supports those individual cases of prejudice does not have to exist.
Once people recognize that racism is not exclusive to personal prejudice, we can admit that there's a system in place that benefits and favors white people. Then more and more people could wake up and realize we have to do something. By then all the people who still hold a personal prejudice against black people will probably be certifiably insane and hopefully committed. (rightfully so)
