He's 1000% correct.
BUT he also should have touched on the necessity to have empathy/compassion for all forms of inequality and oppression. Not only are we hateful towards one another (that's just insecurity), too many of us are racist, sexist, xenophobic and transphobic. Once everyone who is already pretty much on one side of these movements agrees to practice some intersectionality, we will move forward much faster than if we didn't.
