THe song was originally titled "Beg For It" but Iggy came out with the same title so they changed some lyrics + the name. As a result, they also had to push back the release of it as a single to early next year instead of sooner.
That's why Nicki booted off Katy. Katy resumes her tour next year/has the superbowl and she won't be able to promote it at all. Ariana will be free, presumably.

I don't blame Nicki. The single will be important to her.
