I dont care what anyone says--"Discipline" was a HOT, underrated album. I got good feedback from "Feedback", I loved "Luv", and I wanted to Rock With [Janet] more. "So Much Betta" could have been a major hit, and I'll always be pissed that this song, as well as several others weren't recognized/promoted to their full potential.

Janet will be back on top where she belongs in due time just like her big brother. If others can do it, two of the greatest legendary music artists in history definitely can.

Janet is in the past, no matter how "legendary" she once was (many, including myself, have lost respect for her). She can't compete with the more current artists these days. Too much stiff competition. If "Feedback" couldn't take her anywhere then there really isn't any hope left.

She's not with Def Jam anymore but I heard she's negoiating a contract with Roc Nation.
I hope this album has an 80s vibe to it. I want another "Pleasure Principle" and "Alright".

I am okay with Janet working with Jimmy and Terry again, but there stuff has been seriously sounding so dated lately. alot of her older work held up better than that, so I just hope they bring something new to table. and I would love for her to work with Rodney Jerkins again,

she should go the Rhythm Nation route again..... but with a modern twist.... no more songs about sex.... talk about world issues again.... make another album like Rhythm Nation or even Control or janet.

She needs a "We Belong Together" to get her back on the radio. I cant remember the last Janet ballad that wowed me.

I agree 100%. For awhile I've thought that Jimmy and Terry should work with Rodney for her next album, because while J&L are the best at arranging songs around her voice, Rodney is extremely innovative--see "Feedback" and "LUV," two of the best songs of the album.

She isn't Mariah though. She needs a hot dance track, backed up by an even hotter album.

Janet doesn't need a ballad. She needs something from her 2001 era, but with a modern twist. Basically a modern Janet (the real Janet). Not the faked up and forced stuff we've been fed the last 3 albums. Modern Janet, with edge. Hot!

I disagree. I dont think the public want a dance track from Janet, that why she isnt selling what she used to. She is an older artist, and although I would always want her to do upbeat dance numbers I think she should keep them as album tracks and her singles should show a more mature r'n'b/soul sound.
