I remember first hearing Harlem on the radio and getting into it because it had that alternative sound that I don’t really hear much on the radio nowadays, should’ve performed better on the charts tbh
New Politics! I really like Tonight You're Perfect and Goodbye Copenhagen from that album.
Yas, stan a bit! I wanted Tonight You're Perfect to smash so badly

#75 OneRepublic - If I Lose Myself
"I stared up at the sun / Thought of all of the people, places and things I’ve loved... / If I lose myself tonight / It’ll be by your side..."
It's a shame that this song flopped. Honestly, it's just as good or better quality-wise as Love Runs Out and Counting Stars. I was never a huge fan of OneRepublic or Ryan Tedder's productions, but these three songs are an exception- OneRepublic's Native album is exceptionally great.
#74 Icona Pop feat. Charli XCX - I Love It
"I got this feeling on the summer day when you were gone / I crashed my car into the bridge, I watched, I let it burn / I threw your **** into a bag and pushed it down the stairs / I crashed my car into the bridge / I don't care, I love it"
This song isn't quite a guilty pleasure, but it feels a lot like one. Like Imagine Dragons, Icona Pop haven't had much staying power, but I Love It will be remembered as the classic that launched Charli XCX's career into the mainstream, owing at least in part to Charli's feature on Fancy and solo success with Boom Clap.
#73 Taylor Swift - 22
"I don't know about you / But I'm feeling 22 / Everything will be alright / If you keep me next to you / You don't know about me / But I'll bet you want to / Everything will be alright / If we just keep dancing like we're / 22"
With this, Taylor showed us that she can serve a bubblegum pop song that the mainstream will love. While I don't think it's a standout on Taylor's Red album, I appreciate 22 for its message: enjoy life like and while you're young.
#72 Kelly Clarkson - Tie It Up
"I love the ring of your name / You're the ying to my yang / Oh baby let's give it a shot / Every wall needs a frame / Every ball needs a chain / I'm talkin' about tying the knot / Tie it up"
Kelly Clarkson goes country! This song is really cute. The music video, featuring couples getting married, is really cute as well. I'm glad Kelly is fully experimenting with other genres, because she sounds great on a country track. Don't get me wrong, I love Kelly's pop music, but I wouldn't be too upset if she decided to deliver a country album someday.
#71 Cher Lloyd - With Ur Love
"Flying with your love, shining with your love, riding with your love / I feel like I'm on top of the world with your love / One hit with your love, can't quit with your love, so sick but so what? / I feel like I'm on top of the world with your love"
After the Mike Posner-assisted version of With Ur Love charted at #37 on my Top 100 of 2012, With Ur Love charts for a second consecutive year. In 2013, Cher released a new music video for With Ur Love (with witches!) and released another version featuring Juicy J. This insanely catchy piece of pop perfection kept Cher relevant in an otherwise (mostly) quiet year for her.
100. Avril Lavigne - Hello Heartache
99. Katy Perry feat. Juicy J - Dark Horse
98. Taylor Swift - Red
97. A$AP Rocky feat. Drake, 2 Chainz & Kendrick Lamar - ****in' Problems

95. Pitbull feat. Ke$ha - Timber
94. One Direction - Best Song Ever
93. Vampire Weekend - Diane Young
92. Zedd feat. Hayley Williams - Stay the Night
91. Lady Gaga - Applause
90. Fall Out Boy - My Songs Know What You Did In the Dark
89. Ke$ha - Crazy Kids
88. Mariah Carey & Miguel - #Beautiful
87. Katy Perry - By the Grace of God
86. Avril Lavigne - You Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet
85. Drake feat. Majid Jordan - Hold On, We're Going Home

#70 Austin Mahone feat. Flo Rida - Say You`re Just a Friend
"Hey baby you, you got what I need / But you say you're just a friend / Yeah you say you're just a friend..."
This is a guilty pleasure. Flo Rida featured two catchy rap features on two pop songs in 2013, both assisting the songs onto my Top 100 of 2013. Austin may not be a pop radio staple yet, but this song proved to me that he has the potential. Hopefully Austin can deliver with some stronger material in the near future.
#69 Kacey Musgraves - Blowin` Smoke
"We all say that we'll / Quit someday / When our nerves ain't shot / And our hands don't shake... / I'm just blowin' smoke"
Kacey Musgraves is probably one of the best writers in music right now. While this song is her lowest-charting on my Top 100 of 2013, it's one of the best on her album because it depicts real, working-class frustrations in life. No matter what happens, we keep blowin' smoke.
#68 Imagine Dragons - On Top of the World
"If you love somebody / Better tell them while they’re here ’cause / They just may run away from you... / ‘Cause I’m on top of the world, ‘ay / I’m on top of the world, ‘ay"
This might be my favorite Imagine Dragons song. On Top of the World is undeniably catchy, and the instrumental alone has the potential to get stuck in your head. While I really wish this fared better on the charts, On Top of the World kept me excited for Imagine Dragons's new material.
#67 The Wanted - Walks Like Rihanna
"She can’t sing, she can’t dance / But who cares – she walks like Rihanna..."
I'm not sure what it is about this song, but I love it. Walks Like Rihanna has an insane amount of replay value. It's catchy and it slays, what more could you want from this piece of pop perfection?
#66 Jason Derulo feat. 2 Chainz - Talk Dirty
"Been around the world, don't speak the language / But your booty don't need explaining / All I really need to understand is / When you talk dirty to me"
Jason Derulo, his comeback era officially started with this song. Talk Dirty ended Jason's flop streak, and rightfully so. The horns are everything on this track, and 2 Chainz's feature is dynamite. The Other Side and Marry Me may have failed to chart, but Jason's revenge took the form of this catchy single.
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on The Front Bottoms (see New Artist Spotlight, page 3).
