Welcome everyone
This is my first time doing such a countdown, so I will keep it simple.
Mine will include only 2 lists:
Top 75 Tracks and
Top 25 Albums.
The ranking for the tracks depends on 3 factors:
- My
personal rating of the track
- The
total play counts of the track during the year, based on my
last.fm data

The artist factor: I will do a rough ordering of the tracks based on the above two factors. Then, top-down from the #1 position, if an artist already has a song listed, his next song on the list will receive a "penalty", leading to a drop in its rank. This applies to the next and next and next track to appear on the countdown. Tracks from the same album receive extra penalty.
I will start the first set of the track list this Friday
