In an interview about 5 years ago he said in the future he think people will just release songs constantly (or groups of songs) rather than albums.
He's right in a sense, as the music industry has definitely shifted more towards singles, whilst before it used to be albums which were most important, but I think it'll be a long time before rock and hip hop artists stop releasing albums, maybe in other genres like pop, dance and R&B they'll stop earlier. Some big dance acts have never been releasing albums anyway, like Swedish House Mafia didn't release an album, they just released singles every few months.
