I loved this. I get her, I really do. While I may not agree with her methodology all of the time, particularly on how she comes at certain people directly, she is absolutely right that she has every bit of license to express whatever she wants however she wants. And her views are not crazy, they come from an extremely affected and emotional place of someone who connects with her identity on a very deeply ingrained level. As an artist people are always going to discredit a frustrated rant as some singer going off who needs to shut up, but when it comes down to it, she's not an ignorant person. She says really ridiculous and stupid **** sometimes, often off the cuff, but she is a well-informed artist who knows what she believes in and does not fear that. That's more than can be said for a lot of artists out there, and people here for that matter. Does it make for the most marketable personality? Absolutely not. But she is authentic and does not ******** about who she is and for that, I really do have the utmost respect for her.
Clearly she can get people talking though.
Like have I seriously never heard her talking in conversation before? Sounds weird to me, totally not what I pictured her/thought I remembered her sounding like.
