I like Iggy a ****-ton more than Nicki, but Iggy isn't a better rapper. Nicki at least sounds listenable live. Iggy always sounds like she has a cat attempting to claw it's way out of her throat. Still love her music tho

But it's different for rappers. Bravodo is everything in the hip hop community. The thing is, Nicki should keep the bravodo in her msuic where it works. You don't see Jay and Em running around doing interviews about how they're the best. They keep it in their music + they have longevity, hits, iconic albums and songs, so even if the did start randomly spewing how great they are, THEY can get away with it.

The problem is that ATRL regards Nicki as a pop girl. She has yet to stand the test of the time. And since she has no current competition, sans Iggy, she will of course feel she's the best. AB and Angel Haze need to blow up.

Im sorry but nicki is majority a pop artist. Even during pink friday, Super Bass and Check It Out WERE pop songs, and then lets not even discuss Roman Reloaded and the pop explosion it was. At least iggy tries to combined hip hop and pop. And another thing, why is it a bad thing to be pop?

But what i dont understand is why did nicki feel the need to go back to hip hop when pop is really where she belongs. Rap and hip hop can be separated. There are alot of rappers who do different genres but still rap like Deuce, Hollywood Undead, Brooke Candy, Dev, Die Antwoord, J. Balvin, Fergie, Lady Sovereign, Rizzle Kicks and Numerous K-pop rappers etc. She can still be the greatest rapper without doing hip hop. If pop music can take many forms and genres then I think rap can too. And when the biggest singles of your career are pop, it clearly shows what music genre you should be doing.
