Truthfully this season is a mess, and the worst written thus far, this episode and Blood Bath are exceptions. As this episode truly was done brilliantly, their was a lot of emotions, and I personally felt emotional at times, and I don't know if it was because we previously knew Pepper, or her and Jessica's acting were on point, or it was simply the fact that it seemed she had a horrible life, and I think we always hope for their to be a happy outcome for everyone, but we know unfortunately with Peppers death in Asylum, that we actually never see her get to have a truly happy life, or a happy ending. I was hating on this season, to the point where I said, they deserve the bad ratings they are getting, as I do believe the bad ratings reflect the slow-progressioning story line, and boring plot points, and a lack of horror elements, and still I feel this way, if they aren't going to deliver the goods every episode, then why should people bother watching, but in this case I felt this episode, had it have been early in the season, maybe they would have saved this season, but in truth, it feels unsavable. But I applaud everyone's input on this episode
Their are 3 good episodes in my opinion, and one only truly great!
This is the great one, blood bath was good, and the one where Sarah Paulson got her moment, and her acting was just brilliant, I don't remember the name of the episode, it's just sad that a lot of this season was filled with such useless, and non-compelling characters and storylines. But that being said the only really great episode was this one, and I read a comment that, it's sad that the only good episode is the one that references, and goes back to a previous seasons storyline, maybe that is what they need to do, I mean Sarah Paulson says she always wants to play Lana Winters again. Murder House, and Asylum were such mesmerizing back to back seasons, a great distances apart from one another, completely new storylines, a new feels, but Coven (although I enjoyed it) and now Freak Show feel all to familiar, and their storylines weren't as complex as the first 2 seasons.
