I've come to find a few friends of mine over these past months that have tagged or posted stuff on some of their friend's Facebook after they've sadly passed away, and I see a lot of people do it too, do you consider that something in bad taste or rather another way to show love to someone who just died?
I mean if you knew the person, but was not close enough to personally reach out to say their family, it's somewhere you can reminisce and just give a nice goodbye message and condolences
From the couple of experiences I have seen it happen, it is actually nice that the family can see their Facebook with often hundreds of messages wishing them to RIP and memories posted
I mean, they're dead and they can't read it. Why not just reminisce? Why look attention seeking by posting on someone's Timeline who isn't gonna ever respond?
One of my friend passed away from brain cancer last year. Me and my friends posted messages on her wall to post messages so we can remember her and celebrate her life 1 year on. She is such a good person, and I miss her so much
I think if someone wants to show their respect that way then fair enough
But the idea of social media profiles of dead people makes me sad though. Like, reading through it and seeing photos and everything, it's really not nice. I kind of think that they should be taken down if possible, but maybe that's just me.
