This is one of those songs you download for free because Starbucks is giving it away and then it comes on shuffle on your iPod while you're walking around the woods high and it blows you away. Well that's what got me into it anyways. Really tho this song is a must listen and these two girls are incredible. Song has a good night time feeling to it.

I think the last Colbie song I liked was Fallin For You and Bubbly and that was so long ago. Anyways, Colbie really served it up with Try, and even though its ANOTHER "love yourself" la la song, its one of the better ones. It gives me Beautiful teas, and there's nothing wrong with that. Plus the music video is pretty fantastic too.
Best Listened: After you get rejected by that straight guy in your Math class. Even though he clearly would let you go down on him cause "its not gay if I think you're a girl"

Actual queen of all types of music Ayumi Hamasaki never fails to amaze me with what ever she does. The song itself talks about losing yourself and causing it to hurt someone else, and even then without looking up the English lyrics this song is still able to evoke such emotion and sorrow through her singing. Ayu's incredible songs transcend even language itself.
Best Listened: I can't really think of anything witty but listen to it.

I really wish I could enjoy her album of the same name, because this song is so so so good in my opinion. Its one of those songs you wanna play before you go to sleep but end up awake starring at your ceiling because it just makes you feel things. Her soft tone singing combined with the production of the song create a great mood for the song. Its one of those songs where they both meet amazingly.
Best Listened: Naked in your room alone in the dark. Don't masturbate though, just listen.

I knew when I first heard this song it was going to be one of my favorite songs of the year because how ridiculous it is. I'm eagerly awaiting their debut album or EP because these girls are giving me everything. I mean its a rap song with so many tennis metaphors. "I'm serving that ace while I'm serving face" like yaaaaas. The rapper gives me AB teas though, but I'm not accusing ha or anything
Best Listened: Roll up to the clubs with your homies playing this. You'll get a lot fo stares of a lot of head nods. Either way you'll have the attention

I would literally play this all the time on any car ride. This song is so euphoric and puts you in a different place. The way the pre-chorus leads up the the chorus is probably my favorite part of the song. From going to this kind of mellow calm trance type sound then it goes in (in a calming and soothing way of course) is everything. One of my go to songs if I ever leave my house.
Best Listened: Good for sucking dique in car. Like you won't even notice you've been at it for two hours.
I've always been a bigger Gwen fan then Fergie myself, so I was of course more excited when Gwen was releasing another solo album. I personally loved this song and it gave me everything I loved about Gwen. It feels like she never stopped being solo. From the start of the song til the end its new but nostalgic.

Woo, after such a long ass wait wondering when Onika was going to come back, she comes with this and I was blown away. This is where I love Onika. This is my go to jam when I need to put on something that makes me wanna take a baseball bat to some loser guys house. Its so fierce and powerful. Like yaaaas Nicki DEGRADE those ***** men.
Best Listened: Like wear an oversized fur coat, and call be your judgmental self to a bunch of guys you see.

This song gives me such an early 2000's vibe to it. Her voice, the chorus, and the production. And there's nothing wrong with that. My gewd friend Hugamari showed me this song one night and on first listen it was pretty mind blowing. It hooked me instantly and gave me a dark gritty night club feel and I loved it.
Best Listened: In the back alley of that gay bar where you blow your tops.

This was one of the first new songs I listened to in the year and I've consistently played it when ever I was feeling a bit sad or lonely. Friday evenings alone in my room, or walking around by myself listening to music trying to gather my thoughts. Its such a simple song without any fancy bells and whistles and its perfect for that. If my life was a movie I imagine this song would play in the background during that conflict part of the movie. I really recommend you listen to it.
. But I love You Ruin Me (a guilty pleasure omg)
The chorus is a bit repetitive tho.
