lol jk but for real does it take being German or being in Germany to know the situation of ppl there? do we say this when we speak of how America is racist? do we do or ask this when we want to know whats going on in australia or in Pakistan? NO .
so your questions right now are truly non applicable. tell me that these 10k ppl dont represent a bigger amount of ppl.
most anti racism marches in the US have just around like 30k ppl BUT IT REFLECTS THE IDEA AND BELIEFS OF MILLIONS.

First of all, the bigger amount of ppl living in a country, the bigger the chances of finding racist idiots. Germany is not an exception to that. I think that Germany handles itself actually very well, despite some quick outrages from the rightwing. Just look at other countries in Europe like France and Italy.
Whenever there are demonstrations of the far right, at least the same amount of people are demonstrating against them.
This issue however is something different. Germany has been very liberal towards people from all places over the decades despite the bad image it had. I know myself, I came to this country with my family as an immigrant, my parents are muslim (I am not however cause I am not a religious person anyway) and we have never been treated badly.
With this whole islamophobia protests it is important to inform the people who the actual enemy is and who is taking advantage for a very short period of time til the outrage calms down.
