So, there's this guy. He's been in my life for a long time for a long time, initially flirting and now as a friend. I've had a crush on him since the day I met him and even though I know for a fact he likes me, he doesn't make any move and I'm too shy to make the first move, cause I fear rejection more than I fear death. I was in a rather poisonous friendship throughout high school; this girl (3 years older than me) thought that we were best friends, and was basically obsessed with me. I had to respond to her text messages every few minutes, or else she would be mad at me for "ignoring her." She was very overbearing, and eventually revealed that she had a crush on me, and I was like... "R U Crazy?" Never in my life would I have considered dating her. Eventually, in late 2013, I stopped texting her after an argument, and I decided that I would officially end our friendship. A perfect song for showing how much you care about someone. He compared his love with catching a grenade for someone. Basically meaning he'll die for the one he cares about. In many relationship situations people say they will die for someone . For example a Mother says she would die for her child. But in this song He loved the person so much that he didn't care that they didn't acknowledge it.
I chose this song coz it talks about two completely opposite people in love despite their differences and their love for each other is too strong to be broken apart by their differences or anything else for that matter. Despite what may come their way they're going to fight through it together.
I dedicate this song to my male straight friend because it's much like him. He can't stop just looking at girls and talking derogatory things about them. He is known to be the type to just have one-night stands and doesn't believe in "love". For this round, I chose "Touch a New Day" by Lena and want to dedicate it to those people who are too busy with their own careers/problems/etc. and don't have time to do something crazy and funny.
"Touch a New Day" is a self-empowering song about freedom, youth and friendships. My favorite part from the song is the following one: "Get back to the depth of your soul/And unwind on a hanging seat/You get more when you leave behind/Some of the things you don't really need" A great message with amazing pop tunes.
Simply put, this is the perfect dedication song for anyone in the world that wants to live their life with meaning. It's a nice reminder that we all have a purpose in life and that our actions can easily impact others and we should live a life that'll be remembered by others once we leave this world. I think the greatest thing about the song is that its message doesn't and colorless. Everyone can easily relate.
