She's said it a few times already that Britney is like a daughter for her .
In early 2008 she came up with the idea of Britney shooting the backdrop video for Human Nature because she wanted to be one of the first people to help Britney re-build her career after Britney's emotional breakdown in the previous year .
There's even a video in wich Britney visits Madonna backstage somewhere and Madonna holds her and asks her "Are you taking care of yourself?" . I mean, everyone clearly sees how much she loves and cares for Britney .....

Who cares though? Probably just a friendly shade. They love each other.

So if the queen shades, approves, worry when she doesnt give a damn.

I can never tell how I feel about her relationship with Madonna. Britney reminds me of Michael Jackson who liked Madonna more prior to meeting her.

Madonna is a genius when it comes to things like these. She knew she would profit from "helping" Britney get back on track, even if she had nothing to do with it and even made fun of her previously when she was hitting rock bottom.
