Music mogul Simon Cowell has revealed that he refuses to watch the moment when One Direction didn't win 'The X Factor' because it's still too painful.
During a recent question and answer session about the 'X Factor', the music mogul confessed that he still won't watch footage of the lads losing out as he feels as though they should have won the vocal talent contest: "I still can't watch the moment when One Direction came third. I was so arrogant that we were going to win." Cowell went onto add: "So even though they've done well, I still would've liked for them to be able to say they won 'The X Factor'."
“They can't carry on doing the amount of stuff they've been doing for long because they'll burn out - it's a high-class problem. But they don't complain about working hard.”
On the other hand, if they won they wouldnt be able to release anything for period of time. They wouldnt have released What Makes You Beautiful or tour... I think it worked out WAY better, if they've won!

They've been working pretty much non-stop with basically zero breaks for 3-4 years and Simon is only now coming to this conclusion?

If my faves were successful I could care less where they place on some show. i.e., Carly also came 3rd on Canadian Idol, far more successful than anyone else.
