Pretty poet. Katy sang all of the harmonies, including the high ones, the low ones, and the "ooohs." The bridge wasn't changed either, because I remember my eyes lighting up when she did the "all fours" line. Nicki and Katy both sung the chorus, but I don't think Nicki interjected on the bridge like she does on the Ariana one,
The chorus lead was mixed so well it almost sounded like a Britney Spears blend, but there was no mistaking Katy was singing it with Nicki, probably because her backing vocals sounded more powerful than the chorus lead. Katy's adlibs were different, but not the "beg for it!" part. I only heard it once, but I just remember being floored, and the person who let me listen was like "here's her next number one" (and I agreed).
After hearing the new version, I was a little underwhelmed, but still realized it was a hit--much more so than "Black Widow." I'm listening to it right now, and I think I still hear Katy on the chorus "oohhs" and bridge, but I'm not positive. Per usual, for some reason, whoever mastered it turned down the harmonies to like -8. The general rule is to start with all tracks at -6 and move up to taste, making sure the song doesn't clip (go above max-0) and leaving a little headroom (usually -.5), but whoever masters Katy's tracks leaves no headroom and clips everything (meaning the overall volume always goes over 0, drowning out everything subtle and so many artifacts). Serban doesn't exactly mix quietly like he should (when you mix, you're supposed to listen to your mix at a really low volume to make sure you can hear everything), but he ALWAYS leaves headroom...so it's definitely on whoever masters her ****.

I need to hear it Although I don't see the smash potential as much as I did for Black Widow, but that might mostly be because of the beat. I just want to hear it with Katy. It's gotta leak at some point, right?
