Seriously though, Ben will win. I'm not sure if the leak was true but it's believable and they have a good history with this, Fleur is overrated and performed awfully yesterday. She offers nothing that others haven't done better. She will have one sub-Nicki, sub-Rihanna, sub-Beyoncé album with 2 Top 20 singles and 2 XF performances, get nowhere in America and sink into oblivion.
Ben can perform big songs (HTH). He can sing ballads (MITM, TOL). He's attractive. I see no reason y'all dislike him, other than y'all blindly worship Fleur and hate to see her competition slaying

I don't think people like Paul should make the live shows, the criteria should be that they are all rounders. And I don't dislike Ben but he ticks all the boxes that Matt Cardle, Shayne Ward, Steve Brookstein ticked he just won't go anywhere after this.
Fleur might struggle yes but she has the most chance out of the two remaining. I don't think her voice is bad by any means either. I think she'd sound particularly good in the studio. As for last night, the song did nothing for her at all, the staging was far too busy.
I'm sick and tired of the producers pandering to the housewives and teenage girls, bring on the real contenders to live shows, not just one or two! Every year they makke sure they have a 20-30 something white male with a safe voice and that sort of act always takes votes from someone who could do well after the show
The likes of Ben, Paul, Jay, Andrea should not have been on lives at all, it was glaringly obvious by Judges Houses they had nothing more to offer. This isn't The Voice.

If Fleur won't have a career no one this series will.

She isn't. She can't sing well, has a very limited range, doesn't understand how to balance singing ad dancing and has terrible breathing control like

Well, he did Motown, he did rock, he did pop, unless you wanted him doing rap he was pretty well rounded
Fleur has nothing special around her. She's the latest decently talented person to be hyped up. She weill go nowhere. We get someone like her every other year. Ben could get a decent career coasting on Heart FM. Fleur will get the best ghost-writers in the country and still flop. Poor ha.
What song has actually served her well? Uptown Funk gave them a good opportunity to paper over how bad the singing was, but where has she actually excelled vocally? She's okay at a few thing but great at none.
Oh well, when she loses I shall giggle and scalp

If Fleur isn't too far behind in the voting after last night, Uptown Funk will win it for her.

I'm resting my hopes on that too, at the very least I hope it closes the gap. Hope her version of the winners single is solid, I'm sure it could work for her with some tweaking.

I hope you know that Fleur is performing UF again tonight and her version is still at #27, so tonight will propel it higher than anything in Ben's future non-existant solo career.

I know it's not The Voice but being able to sing well should still be a requirement. Ben, Paul, and Andrea were all far more worthy of making the live shows than the likes of Stereo Kicks, Lauren and Jake who all might look cute, be more "marketable" and might be more willing to try dance routines etc. but still suck donkey balls at the end of the day. I left Stevi out of that list since there is always going to spot reserved for a joke act.
It's good to have all-rounders like Fleur, but if you have a good enough voice and aren't comfortable dancing, then there's no need to try and be a jack of all trades. They ruined Paul by giving him song choices that clearly didn't suit him (he still sang better than nearly everyone else though), making him do choreography, and criticizing his personality instead of playing to his strength.

not when Lauren is going to be the most successful act from this season..
Paul was trash every week so you can't blame it on the song choices. I could do the same with Lauren, but her first two weeks > Paul by far.

The thing is out SK could sing, they weren't oustanding but they could. Lauren is another one who shouldn't have made it and Jake. SK were a risk and it didn't work. I'd rather they take risks and not go for safe. And it isn't about cute, Paul just struggled with the entire thing, he didn't have the personality or the versatility for the show he was way too uncomfortable.
Andrea's constant oversinging and limited song choice was also very tiring.
I know Fleur isn't the best but her tone is stunning and she's done the ballads and the up-tempo. I think a lot potentially great finalists always end up being culled at Bootcamp. Janet Grogan, the new Girl Group, Chubby Tulisa, they could have been exceptional on live shows. But they weren't given the chance.

Bye @ Ben being more versatile than Fleur when whenever he steps outside of rock, at least one judge has commented on him being out of his element

Let's look at past winners, shall we...
1. Steve Brookstein - Literally who?
2. Shanye Ward - he was successful at the time and the dwindled and is now doing things on pledgemusic to save his failing / failed career
3. Leona Lewis - The most successful winner by far. Broke America with Bleeding Love. Sold loads. Flopped last era but dunno if she can reign in another hit with her new label. The christmas single did decent.
4. Leon Jackson - What is he doing now? Literally. The whole season was trash tho iirc.
5. Alexandra Burke - The biggest selling X Factor winners single. A decent number of hits from her debut and good album sales. Flopped after a break and ok.com
6. Joe Mc - Didn't he get beat to Xmas1? Flopped for a while and then did classical or something?
7. Matt Cardle - I guess biting the hand that feeds you won't help you hunty.
8. Little Mix - Currently the most relevant winners. DNA and Salute both did well and so did their singles. Nothing outstanding but they have longevity and a fanbase.
9. James Arthur - hit winners single, homophobic comments, flop. basically
10. Sam Bailey - 2nd biggest first-week for a female this year (with a covers album). Will fade into oblivion in approximately 8 hours. #JusticeForTamera
There is a reason the females have the better career when they win the show. Not one of those males have been successful for a long period of time; with the exception of possibly Shayne Ward. That was nine years ago. Ben will end up just like the rest. I see Fleur having an Alexandra styled career. If she breaks America or not, probably not, but time will tell. It's already been revealed she's getting a record deal from Syco. Where's Ben's?

Fleur ballads are so underrated. She's actually shown the most control out of all the contestants. Her falsetto>
When has Ben ever used his head voice? He's a one trick pony. Always straining those high notes and getting away with it because he's a "rock artist".

Oh I agree. I'm not shading Fleur - she's not the best singer but she's still one of the best singers on top of everything else she can do. Even when she is not dancing, rapping, and doesn't have staging/gimmicks, she has great stage presence. Her Will You Be There is probably my fave performance of the season if not Thriller or Uptown Funk.

In my opinion that's the criteria, the final 12/16 should all be capable of that.

Seriously, vote for Fleur I like Ben, but I'm ready for a female to win who actually has the potential of being a real star. It hasn't happened in so long. Sam Bailey had a lovely voice, but everyone saying she was the next Celine Dion were so delusional. She was always destined for a career in daytime television like Loose Women, and releasing covers albums on Mothers Day. But that works for her. I'm tired of the runners-up always doing the best, it should be the winner and Fleur is undoubtedly the star of the season.
