I've decided on an end date for Mockingjay- 17 December. It doesn't matter if it gets 5 reviews or not.

Uptown Funk will end the following night.

This has to be one of if not the best song released by Bruno (well technically mark ronson ). The production is so detailed and you can just tell a lot of time was spent perfecting it not to mention it just sounds like Heaven. This collaboration really seemed to be a natural fit for Bruno vocally, his rap singing reminiscent of pop superstar Beyoncé took the song up a notch. I think they both really captured the funk sound and put a nice modern twist on it. 4/5 stars for the lyrics 5/5 for the beat 10/5 for showing good pop songs can be made in this climate.

i think if more review requirements are added then it may make this whole thing seem unattractive. i think the better thing to say is that you may not count reviews at your own discretion. just because the hive ain't happy with one review doesn't mean you should change the system.

i don't mind anecdotal reviews. there's nothing harmful in someone saying 'i heard this at a party, it made me want to dance around'

Bruno Mars' latest single kicks off with a funky retro guitar riff. His vocals are very much in the vein of retro soul, as is the production from Mark Ronson. The catchy prechorus is followed a cool buildup followed up with a great beat drop featuring horns. The verses are solid, but when compared to the bridge and choruses seem a bit like filler. The nuances of Ronson's production make this song great. The little "dou dou dou" voices in the background, the keyboard riffs, and the occasional guitar are all welcome additions to the song. The lyrics are definitely not Mars' best, but they are fun and that is the point with this song.

The bridge is laid back, supremely catchy, and fun to hear on the radio. Mars sounds extremely comfortable in this song, and it is very much his style. Like most Mars songs, the beat is infectious and the vocals energetic and fun. The final chorus is a jubilant victory lap around a deserving smash hit. This will surely get Mars fans excited for his upcoming third album, and rightfully so.
