Latin Charts are based on Airplay mostly. Latin Stations in the US (just as Country and Rock Stations) are in Favour of Male Artists. The only Thing Enrique has over Shakira is this Thing between his Legs.

Shakira has several Songs on that Chart, even Suerte, Loca, Loba, HdL are still charting in 2014. And Empire has sold 1 Million in the US as of Dec 1st. Bother to check riaa.com before you make such an uninformed Post. A fact - even with massive Airplay he can't even outsell on of her biggest Underperformances and his Album Sales as of recently are abysmal.

I know riaa certified it platinum... But it hasnt sold 1 million.

The same thing happened with Bailando they certified it platinum when it was barely gold with 500k copies...

You don't make sense Empire charted for 3 Months in BB100, based on mostley Sales since it didn't get a lot of Airplay and Streams weren't a Factor, either. Longevity is the Keyword here. It was confirmed to have sold ~70000 in June. You might wanna do your Research again? Any other Point you can make to answer the Question?

In the US, it has to be Enrique. People really like him and I bet his tour dates sell out better than Shakira in the US.

Shakira, but some of you really need to stop acting as if she's seen as some massive icon in the U.S. She's not nearly as beloved here as some of you make her out to be, and if Hips Don't Lie didn't exist, then it would be Enrique easily.

Also, Can't Remember To Forget You and Empire cannot be compared to Bailando. The latter is practically an anthem amongst party-goers and much of the Hispanic population while the former two are LONG forgotten.

Also, I went to see Enrique live, and I was shocked at how packed the arena was. Also, the crowd was insane and went absolutely nuts every time he opened his mouth. He clearly still has a devoted fan base, poor album sales or not, and I seriously doubt that Shakira could pull the same kinds of crowds in the U.S. these days.

Shakira HANDS DOWN! the only way Enrique can be considered close to her is the fact that he had "I Like It" and that toher song "Tonight Im Loving You" apart for that Shakira from 2001 to 2009 was MUCH MUCH bigger

Probably Enrique but he was raised in America whereas Shakira is wholly foreign so she has more points for that imo :
