PETA is so obnoxious I mean, good for them for trying to advocate but dayum

I like and am thankful that vegetarians are doing some good, but they really should go all the way and go vegan. Same for everyone else. There's truly absolutely no reason not to.

As a vegan, even I will say that PETA is a bad organization. While I haven't done all my research, I have seen that they often fat-shame to get their points across, and apparently they end up euthenizing a good percentage of the animals they take in. I think they have their heart in the right place, but they often go about spreading it the wrong way.

And I'm a recent vegetarian so it's all new to me but I definitely prefer this. I don't care about meat eaters I just hate the ones who make fun of me for not eating meat

Why should someone's diet affect you?

To each their own. I personally get their reasoning and think eating vegeterian is a really good and healthy thing to do, however, I could never live without treats like chicken, turkey or ham. I think it's only annoying when people are trying to shove vegeterianism down other people's throats. Like, I know this vegan girl who supports animal rights very strongly, and whenever somebody eats meat in her presence she starts calling them a murder and ****, and I'm like STFU.

i'm a vegetarian because:

a) i honestly don't like the taste of meat. i only ever really enjoyed eating chicken, the rest are just... not for me.
b) i don't agree with the process in which the majority of meat is obtained.

however, that doesn't mean that eating meat in my presence is going to cause me to attack you for doing so. it does get tiring, though, when people are like "how can you live without meat?!"... like? easily? i've not eaten meat in nearly 4 years, so? also, assuming i eat fish. someone who eats fish but doesn't eat meat is NOT a vegetarian.

also if I need to hear people say 'as long as they don't shove it down our throats' i'm gonna punch something because every single time I say that I'm a vegan people go 'OMG PROTEIN BLA BLA HOW CAN YOU LIVE I COULD NEVER' shoving their ****** meat-eating opinions down my throat as if i asked for it and then have the audacity to go all 'omg don't shove it down my throat, i don't want to hear about other beings being brutally murdered and how meat isn't actually good for you body and how it's literally destroying our planet but also HOW CAN YOU NOT EAT MEAT'

yes, it really is. it shows how little people actually know about the things they eat. they've just been told meat = protein and they seriously believe that nothing else but meat has protein. also plant protein/amino acids are better for our bodies because our body can digest those much quicker than protein from meat
