so what i wanna know is why MALEFICENT is so big worldwide despite all the backlash from the media? what caused this? did Angelina HA star power make all this happened?

Her cheekbones alone brought in 80% of the audience. The other 20% were parents who went with their kids
+ people who wanted to see a disney story come to film.

Disney movie, lots of promo and huge actors/actresses.

It was a guaranteed success.

OT: It was a film for everybody. Both genders and all ages would enjoy the film & is starring a huge actress like Angelina.

It's to be expected. There isn't a more beloved actress than Angelina Jolie.

I only went to see it because of Angelina, and her performance was the one thing I enjoyed in the film tbh. Everything else was mediocre.

Why is this surprising though? If it was some sappy Oscar winning tear jerking drama I'd be like whoa.

But it has something in common with all the other movies in the top 10
