If I was around someone like Tamar Braxton or ATRL'ers all the time I'd be highly annoyed by it but I really don't know anyone who really uses gay slang outside of the internet. Not even the few gay men I know.
It depends on the word/context/tone of voice of person speaking. There's a big difference between someone casually saying something like "so and so shaded ___", vs someone saying "so and so was dragged by the weave, giving me life for days, while I was standing by just serving for the gods" in a loud queen's voice.
Nothing wrong with either, but I'd be lying if I said the latter doesn't grate my ears.
