At least during the Roman Reloaded era Nicki wasn't trying to disguise her pop songs as urban. Now she's shamelessly trying to sandwich in unwanted Katy Perry demos sparsely throughout her ~serious~ rap album hoping no one will notice. You're not fooling anyone Onika.
Nicki was probably high off that Beyonce collabo when she said her album is going to be monumental. Watch her try to push the only two dance tracks (both by Dr. Luke) as singles once Feeling Myself and Get On Your Knees fail to make any impact.
And I hate people who say that you have to "get" music. Sorry, but if your album is a long, boring ass pool of monotony that drags on for 45 minutes, it's not good.
Don't see what's so draggable about Nicki. Her album is as pop/hip hop balanced as all her albums have been and the material sounds good, and there's clearly a lot of Beauty influences on the pop tracks.
Unless you guys are dragging for unfairly coming for #1ggy, in that case drag on.
Edit: And Dr. Luke is also/originally a hip hop producer

You can twerk it while in a split, you racking up them tips
Your body rock and your booty poppin’, I’m proud to call you my bitch
They be lookin’, but they can’t touch you, shawty, I’m the only one to get it
So just go ahead and keep doing what you do, do it
