Y'all gotta think tho...Nicki probably didn't have many songs recorded when chose to release PNP. She didn't even finish the album until the week of the AMA's, I believe.

It's telling though that she still wanted it on the album. Like she didn't even want Anaconda on the album so I could see her calling PNP a promo track and moving on, but it must have been an important track to her even if it was a flawed start of an era.
