It still lasted longer and peaked higher than any of your faves' recent singles.

The sales are probably pretty small but why doesn't Billboard include music video sales in the digital sales?
Grown Woman has been top 20 on iTunes MV since release about a year ago

I agree that MVs should always have been counted with sales, but their sales probably aren't that significant in all honesty. Even big videos like Bad Romance, Baby, Gangnam Style, Dark Horse, etc. probably didn't sell that many copies on iTunes.

Billboard is siding with J. Cole, expecting him to get 300k. Swift would probably return the next week, depending on who has CDs scheduled for release on 16 December.

Yes, I think downloads, music videos, and ringtones/ringbacks, along with physical singles at one point per copy should all count towards the sales total. Divide ringtones/ringbacks & music video sales by three or four. That should be fair.

I feel you're pain. I have one more paper (12-20 pages) due, then my first semester of graduate school is behind me. I hope I got a 4.0. I know I will be close. The University of South Florida here in Tampa counts an A- as less than 4 points (3.667?), so I need a 93 or 94 to get the full 4 points.

All About The Bass actually has 15 weeks in the Top Two, not 16. We forgot to take the week Taylor Swift's Shake It Off debuted at #1 and Nicki Minaj jumped from 39-2 with Anaconda. The record for the most weeks in the Top Three is Smooth by Santana/Rob Thomas, which had 19 weeks (and 30 total Top Ten weeks) from October 1999-May 2000, I think All About The Bass is the runner up for that record, with 17 weeks now.

Also remember the AC-friendly songs will get a 15 million or so boost in impressions right after Christmas, so songs like SIO and AATB will get the airplay boost and probably get a boost on downloads. Blank Space is too far ahead of Take Me To Church right now. I see her gaining through the Christmas holidays, but I think radio will embrace Hozier more after Christmas, especially AC. WIth only two weeks left until Christmas, Swift should (but is not guaranteed to) stay on top with Blank Space through at least gift card redemption week.

Hi Keith,
Madonna's new video "4 Minutes" made its world premiere April 3 on iTunes, amidst lots of hype at the online digital store. This begs the question: do music video sales at iTunes (or any other digital retailer) count toward the charts, specifically the Hot 100?
"It has been discussed. At the moment, since iTunes is the sole digital retailer (or at the very least the primary vendor) of video downloads, they have been reluctant to provide us that information since it would reveal sales numbers for only their company. And the feeling was mutual on our end as we do not utilize any data streams which come solely from one retailer."
So, hopefully that clears it up for you Jim! Now, if only other retailers started selling video downloads, then maybe music video clip sales could be factored into the Hot 100.
