The sad thing is that this season is probably one of its worst ones. So much good talent fell by the wayside either because the coaches didn't pick them or crappy song choices. I hope that Chris or Matt win, preferably Matt because I prefer him at the moment. And the wildcard will definitely be TJW . He sucks so much, I can't . Like, he was awful tonight, and he'll still make it! Just

I so agree with you. All the interesting people went way too early.
I really hope you're wrong about the wildcard. Because TJW has been my least favorite from the get go. All he does is recycle songs that have already been done on talent shows. And those hats make me angry

I hope I'm wrong too , and that's partly Gwen's fault with the songs, but you're right.
This is like my favorite game ever so ive probably listened to this one song for more than 24 hours in total
I love this one too but it didn't quite have the spastic bridge thing was taking about
also
Beat The Angel
and Keen Edged Blade
Same again ever since i started getting imersed in music my videogaming has suffered
lemme boot up a rom now
All those were awesome I think keen edged blade was my favorite. Not gonna lie, I pulled up a tab and just started browsing while listening to these, and forgot that I had this tab open.
I'm going to have to dust off my Game Cube, I still got to finish Twilight Princess it's that bad; not to mention discover new games.
And hey, I'm in the same boat with losing out on videogaming, but you ever listen to Anamaguchi? I think that's why they exist as a group

Imagine them duetting though, a mess
Gwen is partially to blame, you're right. But he did audition with Kris Allen's Heartless...
nnnnnn not this turning into the Voice discussion thread!! i stopped watching this season after Taylor Phelan was eliminated! i still cant believe he couldnt make it to to 12! :weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeps:
Welcome to the seventh season of ATRL original game Choose The Album, Then a Song
Well, Hello!!
I am so sorry y'all! This was hard to continue, ahn? But now we're back on track and not ready to slow things down! In fact, the votes have been counted and I am about to reveal the two that are leaving the competition. You know how this works: first I am revealing the public vote, then the judges and only then the official final results.
Now, holyground did not vote but as you know he had his reasons so I am not deducting ten points from him. Let's see who stays and who goes? Yes! But first... The Judges!

You couldn’t have chosen a better dance song, and your essay is really selling it! Great job!
2. VDK - Little Mix - Salute: Move – 10/10
PERFECT choice! I absolutely LOVE this song, I can’t listen to it without dancing to its amazing beat! You captured the spirit of the song in your essay, I only disagree with you when you say it’s not for the clubs.
3. Penk - Kimbra - The Golden Echo: Miracle – 5/10
I see the dance elements from the 70s/80s in this song, but I’m not feeling it. This song is annoying and I think it would drag down the vibe of the party. I didn’t want to dance, I just wanted it to end.
4. Dollas n Diamonds - Taylor Swift - 1989: Shake It Off – 10/10
PERFECT! I have nothing to add, the song and your essay say it all! Now let me go bop hard to it!
5. Yvess - Avril Lavigne - Under My Skin: Who Knows – 6/10
I’m torn. I liked the way you connected the song to the theme, it was clever, since your album doesn’t have a dance song. However, I still wanted you to say why this song would make you dance, you said the lyrics encourage you to dance like nobody’s watching, but the challenge is about playing a song and dancing to it, and you didn’t explain why you would dance to Who Knows.
6. holyground - Lorde - Pure Heroine: Biting Down – 2/10
I don’t get your choice. I know your album doesn’t have a dance song, but you had better options for this round, like A World Alone. Biting Down sounds so depressive that not even the constant drums in the background make me want to dance.
7. SailorMoon - Britney Spears - Oops!... I Did It Again: Stronger – 10/10
This song came up in the club last Friday and I went C-R-A-Z-Y, everyone was dancing and singing along, so it’s definitely the perfect song for this round!
8. Luigi - Janet Jackson - The Velvet Rope: Go Deep – 8/10
Good song, I’m definitely moving while listening to it, your essay is good too. Overall, it’s a good entry, but it doesn’t standout among the others.
9. Starships - Miley Cyrus - Hannah Montana 2: Meet Miley Cyrus: Let's Dance – 9/10
I agree with you, there’s not much to explain why a song makes you wanna dance, it just does, you hear the beat and then starts moving… and Let’s Dance definitely got me moving.
10. Prismatic - Katy Perry - PRISM: Walking On Air – 10/10
Perfect song choice, you said it all in your essay!
11. MusicLoverDude - Carly Rae Jepsen - Kiss: Good Time (feat. Owl City) – 10/10
You couldn’t have chosen a better song for this round! Everytime I listen to this song I picture myself in a pool party, getting drunk and throwing my hands in the air while dancing to it!
12. Xedretinz Lododnz - Maroon 5 - V: Sugar – 3.5/10
Your entry is really underwhelming this round, you should’ve gone with Maps. Sugar makes me nod my head a few times, but it’s far from making me wanna get up and dance.
13. Bloomers - Baroness - Yellow & Green: Take My Bones Away – 7.5/10
The Macarena reference. I don’t see people dancing to this song, I see them jumping like crazy around the room, but I guess that’s dancing for the rockers, so I believe you did the best with the album you have.
14. Already Gone - Sia - 1000 Forms of Fear: Burn The Pages – 7/10
I can see people doing little dance moves while listening to it, but it’s not that dancey, it doesn’t make me get up and dance. You didn’t have many options in your album, so I guess you made the best choice possible.
15. theREALslimSHADY - Coldplay - X&Y: The Hardest Part – 6/10
I was unsure about your song choice, but I can see people dancing with tears in their eyes while listening to this song, with a nostalgic feeling. Even though it doesn’t make me wanna dance, I can see your point, so I’m giving you some points for that.
16. Capital B - Alanis Morissette - Jagged Little Pill: Your House – 4/10
The explanation in your essay is great and I get what you’re saying, but I’m having a hard time imagining a choreography for this song. I searched for “Your Horse Dance” on youtube and the song in the videos I found wasn’t purely acapella, it had an instrumental, which makes it a bit easier to imagine a choreography. However, I can’t judge based on that, since you sent the acapella version, and I can’t imagine any dance moves for it.
17. Pedro - Shakira - Shakira.: You Don't Care About Me – 9/10
I wasn’t sure about your choice at first, but YDCAM does have this reggae vibe that allows you to do a sexy dance with moving hips and everything else to your partner.

I really want to give you a higher score because this beat is great. I'm just let down because your essay is all over the place and doesn't pinpoint exactly why this makes you dance.
6/10
2. VDK - Salute
This could've been just a little bit better, but you kinda got it. Your essay needed a little more focus on what specifically gets you moving. The beat is definitely danceable and gets me shaking though.
7.5/10
3. Penk - The Golden Echo
I just found a new favorite song. And you explained what about the song makes you dance. At first I thought you were going to just explain the influences and everything, but you got to the main point I wanted.
8/10
4. Dollas N Diamonds - 1989
This was beyond expected and I didn't find your essay quite strong enough to explain exactly why it was a very predictable choice.
6/10
5. Yvess - Under My Skin
Now this is interesting because although I wanted you to send He Wasn't, I like how you related the song to a dance floor. It was clever, but not quite perfect.
9/10
6. holyground - Pure Heroine
Perfect explanation. Everything you said about it was completely spot on.
10/10
7. SailorMoon - Oops!... I Did It Again
I think you could've described the beat or something in a little more detail to get down to what exactly makes you dance. It felt like too vague of a description.
6.5/10
8. Luigi - The Velvet Rope
I find your essay to be a little cluttered in detail, but your last little section pulled it through.
7.5/10
9. Starships - Hannah Montana 2: Meet Miley Cyrus
Gurl no. You could've at least pointed out bits of the song that make you want to dance. Whether it's the beat or the lyrics or something. Instead you didn't even give me that much. It's not like it required a lot.
3/10
10. Prismatic - Prism
Though predictable as you said, you nailed why it was and what makes it so danceable.
10/10
11. MusicLoverDude - Kiss
A little more detail wouldn't have killed you, but you're right. The beat always gets me moving.
8/10
12. Xedretinz Lododnz - V
Not exceptional, but you got the job done.
7.5/10
13. Bloomers - Yellow & Green
This was the perfect way to explain this song and I'm so happy because you could've flopped hard without the right wording.
10/10
14. e437 - 1000 Forms Of Fear
I like your description, but you could've mentioned the beat or described the song's feel a bit.
8/10
15. theREALslimSHADY - X & Y
You hit all the points I was looking for and I like how you talked about dancing with tears and it being kind of melancholy. It was a nice little juxtaposition.
10/10
16. Capital B - Jagged Little Pill
That is a very interesting way to look at this song and I'm blown away at well it works. Well done.
10/10
17. Pedro - Shakira
I'm a little skeptical on how well this works. I'm trying to imagine your scenario and I feel like it doesn't quite work perfectly. I appreciate your risk, but I just can't see this as the perfect choice.
6.5/10

I like the essay and how you used Promiscuous as a reference point. I find Nelly’s voice in this song extremely annoying however, so I am kind of torn… would it really make you want to dance? Or make you want to just sit there? PS. I like the ending of the song!
2. Little Mix – Move – 9/10
A great song selection, and a pretty good essay. This song is such an interesting track. I would have loved to see a few more details in the essay; it felt a little skeletal to me, but overall, this is a strong entry.
3. Kimbra – Miracle – 9.5/10
So cute! Feels straight out of a disco-esque era, and it definitely makes your foot tap no matter the location… I feel like you could have tightened up this essay a little more; there seemed to be some superfluous information.
4. – Taylor Swift – Shake It Off – 9.5/10
Song choice = duh. I was planning to give this a ten, but then I read your essay. I thought some lines were really well written and very strong. However, some of them were run-on sentences, and it just seemed like you were thinking too fast, and your essay ended up being a tad messy. You tried to do too much, I think. It was pretty well explained, overall, though.
5. Avril Lavigne – Who Knows – 7.5/10
I really love the angle from which you approached this challenge. Obviously, with your album, it would be quite difficult to find a stereotypically “dancey” song. Unfortunately, your essay did not fully convince me of your idea. I think it is a very interesting metaphor, however. I really like the idea of dancing like no one is watching.
6. Lorde – Biting Down – 4.5/10
This is like, my least favorite Lorde song. It makes me want to sleep, not dance. Your essay didn’t convince me, unfortunately. It more or less made me think of exorcisms and sleep paralysis more than dancing.
7. Britney Spears – Stronger – 4/10
Out of all of the songs in Britney’s discography, you went with this? Your essay barely addresses the challenge, and I just don’t think this entry works. Sorry.
8. Janet Jackson – Go Deep – 9/10
Another solid entry from you! Very groovy song and well explained essay. I am hoping that in future rounds, you can take it to the next level, because you have a lot of potential.
9. Miley Cyrus – Let’s Dance – 9/10
This essay might be one of the most memorable in the history of this game. I love how blunt you are, and honestly, your explanation makes sense. The song is really solid, and I can imagine some killer Latin/hip-hop fusion choreo to this.
10. Katy Perry – Walking on Air – 9/10
An extremely overrated song. I can’t believe people want this as a single. However, it is a strong choice for this round, and your essay explains everything pretty well. Good job.
11. Carly Rae Jepsen – Good Time – 9/10
An obvious choice! This song was one of my favorites of 2012, and it brings back some amazing memories of summer road trips with my family. I think your essay could have gone a little further into detail, as it felt a little bland to me. It does get right to the point, but I am looking forward to having you dazzle us a little more with your words in the next round.
12. Maroon 5 – Sugar – 8.5/10
A solid essay, and a strong song choice. I wish you went a little deeper with your essay though. My favorite contestant on The Voice just sang this song the other night, and it made me enjoy it a lot more! His falsetto in this song is so good. Ugh.
13. Baroness – Take My Bones Away – 8/10
You definitely have a hard album to sell a “dance” worthy song. I think your essay explained your point of view well enough, but it is overall a middle of the road entry, IMO. I like the idea of dance as just movement in whatever primal form, however.
14. Sia – Burn The Pages – 6.5/10
Hmmmmmmm. I am torn about this entry. I can sort of see where you are coming from. A very unique TV worthy dance could be done to this song, but I also don’t see this playing in many clubs. I think your essay also became a little unfocused towards the end. Overall, a fair job. I hope your username change does not apply to your status in the game this round.
15. Coldplay – The Hardest Part – 8/10
An interesting concept! I think your essay leaves a little, to be desired, unfortunately. I like the song though!
16. Alanis Morissette – Your House -- 10/10
YASSSSSS. I am a huge fan of So You Think You Can Dance, so I am practically an expert of viewing contemporary dance. This song would make for an absolutely amazing contemporary dance – possibly a stand out dance for the season. Great, out of left field choice. Loved your essay. Slay me.
17. Shakira – You Don't Care About Me – 8.5/10
This lyric video is so beautifully designed. I actually really like this song (especially that pre-chorus!), and can envision some interesting choreography to this song. Your essay was a little lacking this time, in my opinion; I feel like there was more for you to say about the song. Overall, it was a pretty strong entry.
