Republic Records confirm Zendaya joins their label
https://twitter.com/RepublicRecords/...rtists/members
Zendaya has been added to a "Current Republic Artists" list (Republic's official and verified Twitter account is responsible for that list), and only Republic can add people to that list. That confirms all of the rumours. Zendaya is now officially signed to Republic Records and her second studio album, which is scheduled for a 2015 release, will be released through her two record labels - Republic and Hollywood.

Yasss she's coming to slay! HWR will love her because Bridgit seems to be going away from the typical radio pop and Demi openly dislikes them so it's Z's time to shine!

She performed that song everywhere, the video was on heavy rotation 24/7 on Disney Channel AND she was on Dancing With The Stars. The least it could do was to get some sales (which it did).
Good luck to Zendaya, tho. She kind of reminds me to Ciara, not a very strong voice but she damn knows how to dance.

If you are trying to shade her down, collect your receipts as well. She was on Dancing With The Stars in Spring, and Replay was released three months later, which means that all of the hype from that contest was gone. Replay was released on July 16th with a radio premiere on Radio Disney two days before its release. After its release, it immediately reached Top 80 on iTunes. Replay's video was released only a month later, on August 15th, and returned to Top 100 on iTunes charts immediately. She performed Replay on The Ellen DeGeneres show on September 19th - two months later after its release, when it was obviously a bit too late. However, the single refused to die. When Hollywood Records realized that it has the potential to become something, they sent the song to Pop format (let me point this out - only Pop format, when it could have done something better on rhythmic charts) in October. They booked her 106 & Park performance in November (two months after The Ellen DeGeneres Show performance.) Also, her fans FORCED Elvis Duran to pick Zendaya for the artist of the month thingy and get her to perform on Today Show. She performed the simplistic acoustic version, and still, she was only allowed to do the half of the song. Finally, when Replay was still in Top 50 five months after its release, Hollywood Records decided to discount it for Christmas and the song jumped to #21 on iTunes and #40 on Billboard Hot 100. I think I should also mention that Replay peaked at #19 on Pop radio, it spent 200 days in Top 100 and a whole year in Top 1500 on iTunes charts, it peaked at #8 in Australia despite having any type of promo over there, and went Platinum in US and Australia.
AND her album did great, considering she only released one single from the album and didn't have a lot of promotional spots booked for her: it's sold 67K to date.
So, don't start this "the song was performed everywhere" thing.
