Again, not the point of "Person of the Year". The entire point is to pick one person.They can't say a few thousand people are all "TIME magazine Person of the Year". It's lazy and incorrect. Surely I can't be the only one who takes objection to this.

Nope. That's definitely not the point of it. The title is to honor a person OR a group of people, not necessarily one person just because it's singular. It's just a honorary title, not a grammar class.

So you're telling me ten thousand doctors and nurses can all refer to themselves as "TIME Magazine Person of the Year"? That this will be on their CVs? I don't accept it. They may as well say "TIME Magazine Person of the Year - America". "Time Magazine Person of the Year - Toddlers". It's a bunch of malarkey.
