found this little guy whilst trawling through my archives and thought it would be a cute thing to share with y’all. we wrote this song called lost boys in about march of last year, we spent a day on it and then never touched it again (it was not a good song, i promise, haha). a lot of people asked what happened to lost boys, and i guess you’ll never hear the other three-quarters of the song, but there was something about these bridge melodies i thought was pretty. so here you go - a little pre-christmas look at the cutting room floor. xo
She's been writing but I'm not sure if she's happy with anything so far. Remember she recorded No Bether which didn't make it onto Pure Heroine and then just released it late last year. She did Good Fights and even performed it live but never released it. I'm still hoping we can get a studio version of that one day - even the crappy cellphone recording on YouTube is better than most of the top 40.
But I think she feels she has to ditch everything from the Pure Heroine era before she can write something worth releasing, otherwise everything will sound like leftover songs from her debut.

This is what I'm worried about. It's going to be hard for her to avoid that criticism. The only way she can safely avoid doing that is to completely change her sound. But that's such a big risk
