Not sure how the Birthday video is a gimmick Its just a fun celebrity-in-disguise hidden camera video which I think is a lot less gimicky than having an entire video about sex.

And I'm not sure how she's "promoting herself by shading Taylor", its not like she was like "Watch out for the Regina George in sheep's clothing by watching my new music video on VEVO!!!!1".
