Just because Unconditionally, Birthday and TIHWD underperformed doesn't mean they don't count. All those singles add up. Plus, Bey and Taylor really only released 2 singles a piece at most. Plus Prism is one of the top 10 best selling albums of the year. And, radio is weighed more heavily in 2014, and Dark Horse of course. Roar also has points that cross into 2014.

The focus was selling the album. The only single released to pop was XO. DrIL and Partition were only urban, the latter NOT even having an official release so she still only released 2 singles. 7/11 and Ring Off obviously came out far too late to have impact on 2014's year end chart. Don't try to make it seem as if Bey really cared about making them smash...
