can people stop using the nipple gate excuse? madonna has had WAY WORSE backlash (more than once) and she got over it just fine. if you work hard and make good music, you can make it work. janet simply didn't make any good **** any more.

and madonna's youtube videos always get deleted & uploaded again and almost all of them are only available in a few countries, so there's like 5 different fan uploads of each video (which also often get deleted by the record company) for example: madonna's video of 4 mins with justin had the most youtube views in 2008 at the time.. EVER. look it up. but then warner just decided to delete the video off youtube. they're a MESS. and anyway, those views are irrelevant. if we go that route then Gangham style or a kid singing in a car are the most iconic of clips of all time. it's not even important.

Cant say the same about the rest. Whitney has lots of classics that i still hear out at places too tho and IWALY will always be bigger than anything released by these 5 girls.

Tbh, Madonna only has lap that has transitioned to younger audiences. Whitney has dance with somebody, and iwaly, Celine has hwgo, and Marian has her christmas album and we belong together. Anything more than that completely depends on your demographic and how much you have been exposed to the artist.

Edit: let me go listen to vogue because as much as it is mentioned in here I have never heard it. Not to sound ignorant, I just never heard come up, but I'm about to educate myself.
