Charli XCX is not basic. She came from literally nothing and has been dedicating herself to music for years and years now. Beyond that, she's made 2 acts now (Icona Pop and Iggy Azalea) semi-relevant stars with her songwriting. She has a lot of talent and musical skill and came up due to that, unlike the NUMEROUS stars that have just got to the top because of $$$, undeserved fame or shady acts.
