Sweetie you know the answer to this question. Street Fighter is one of, if not the most iconic fighting game franchise in the world. It's arguably more important than any other IP they (Capcom) have imo, so why wouldn't Sony scramble to secure an exclusive deal for (this iteration of) the game?
It'll boost PS4 sales by a huge margin in Japan as well.
I wish they'd secure an exclusive deal for the Onimusha franchise though... I need a new Onimusha game...
Edit: The console exclusivity might also have been made because neither Nintendo or Microsoft were willing to help fund the production of the game, while Sony was? I do remember reading Capcom had around $150 million US left in their bank account, and maybe that was a cause for concern for the two aforementioned companies?
