As popular as they were I feel like people just don't know their music anymore...their music, although good and succesful, failed the test of time. Songs like "All I want For Chrismas," "My Heart Will Go On," and "I Will Always Love You" have seemingly passed.
i'd say janet's hits are the least remembered, but that's not to say she's suddenly unknown amongst the general public. they have all clearly withstood the test of time.

Janet's legacy was only destroyed because of the super bowl. As for Madonna, she definitely has a young gay following in addition to her loyal fans who've been supporting her for decades. Kinda the same with Janet, just on a smaller scale.

Hers isn't too good but she has way more albums on than anyone else...
Cuz she has the best sales? That doesn't signify that her songs are well remembered...
I feel like her music didnt age well.
Like A Prayer, Like A Virgin, Vouge, Secret, Material Girl, Papa Don't Preach - those are some of her classics, some of them are 20+ years ago
they clearly aged VERY well

If anything I think it's Celine & Whitney's hits have the hardest time transitioning to younger audiences.
Especially for Whitney seeing as how majority of her hits were slow r&b love songs. Pop fans could care less.
And Like A Virgin is just as remembered as IWALY & AIWFCIY
If were talking least remembered singles I think Janet takes that one.
