What would be the soundtrack to your life?
Which songs would describe your life the most or fit it the most? Post your answers here. Here's mine:
1. Anything But Ordinary by Avril Lavigne.
It's exactly what I am. Anything but ordinary. I am unique in my own special way and people like me for that.
2. Pocketful of Sunshine by Natasha Bedingfield
Junior High sucked for me, except for my Cooking Elective, Drama Elective, A few people I knew, and three of the dances. But Junior High sucked. Unfortunately I had to deal with 7th grade by myself with no one to lean a shoulder on. At least I had Natasha's during the second semester of 8th Grade.
3. Crush by David Archuleta
Yep, defenitely can relate to that. I've had crushes on people and they sometimes don't go away for awhile.
I can't think of any others.
What about you?

Well.... I'll try to think of songs that I related to or really liked throughout my childhood or even now.... not in any particular order
1. Semi Charmed Life by Third Eye Blind (always loved this song, one of my faves)
2. Touched by VAST (same as above)
3. Stay (I Missed You) by Lisa Loeb (same as above, but I can relate to it now, I like how it's talking about wanting someone to stay.... it can be a friend, or spouse / significant other who is leaving you, or whatever)
4. Nothing Compares 2 U by Sinead O'Connor (I love the emotion in this song, great song to listen to when you're sad or you really need to think these over.... or if you want, you can just cry with it)
5. Otherside by Red Hot Chili Peppers (loved this song since I was 12 years old when it came out)
6. As I Lay Me Down by Sophie B. Hawkins (love the song & it's a great song to think things over with.... it always puts me in a better mood when I'm down... also recommend her song Damn I Wish I Was Your Lover)
7. Doo Wop (That Thing) by Lauryn Hill (I love this song all together, but especially just for the line "respect is just a minimum" ... I want to rub that in some people's faces sometimes...)
8. Killing Me Softly by The Fugees (always loved the song)
9. I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles) by The Proclaimers (hahahaha get drunk or be sober while listening to this song, you will dance and act stupid either way.... I think a drunk video exists of me singing this lmao)
10. In The House of Stone & Light by Martin Page (loved this song ever since I was a kid .... just now downloaded it)
11. I'm Not Dead by P!nk (I listen to this song when I feel alone, because sometimes I feel like when you're lonely people forget about you, and with this song, even though the message of the song isn't quite the same as my interpretation, you can just be like "hey, I'm not dead, don't forget about me, I'm right here, you might have missed me, but I'm having fun and kicking a** anyways)
12. No One by Alicia Keys (listen to this a lot when I feel at risk of being taken advantage of... .sends the message that no one can bring you down)
13. Poker Face by Lady GaGa (I don't really understand the lyrics of this song yet but I love it...)
14. One Headlight by The Wallflowers (always loved this song)
15. Runaround by Blues Traveler (good song when you want to just break out singing alone & you're having a good day)
16. Moonlight Sonata by Beethoven (I've never been one for classical songs..... but something about this song has always struck a chord with me... .it's so dark & haunting, and beautiful.... it also goes great at Halloween time as background music with all your other Halloween music for haunted houses or what not)
17. t.A.T.u. - Fly On The Wall (I relate to the lyrics because sometimes I wish I could spy on people who I think are talking about me behind my back or who are doing things behind my back)
18. Fleetwood Mac - Landslide (love this song, it's a great one to listen to if you've lost someone close to you or if you're depressed about something)
19. Sarah McLachlan - Building A Mystery (life is a mystery, it's one set of events after another... so in a sense, your life is like "building a mystery" that's why i like the lyrics)
20. Avril Lavigne - Together (great song)
21. bink 182 - What's My Age Again (it's kind of ironic how i'm now coming to the age in which the guys of blink 182 were when they came out with this song, so it's like "why should I grow up too?" it reassures me that I can get older but still have fun)
22. Brandy - The Definition (I love the lyrics and they reflect a stage in my life right now)
23. Christina Aguilera - Fighter (anyone in your life can have an effect on you and result in you becoming a fighter and overcoming adversity)
24. Christina Aguilera - Walk Away
25. Coldplay - Lost (I like to look at this song as a redemption song of sorts... you get lost along the way but you get back up, don't look back, and just move on with life and enjoy yourself)
There are many more but i'm tired of typing lol

1. Frou Frou - Must Be Dreaming
This song is beautiful, and oh so strange. That's what life feels like to me; if there was a single song to describe not only my life but life in general, this would be it.
2. Janet Jackson - You
For those times that I'm especially angry with myself. It happens a lot, at least with school and friends.
3. Madonna - The Power of Good-Bye
Yes, it's a love song, but along with the next track, it's good to listen to when one needs closure. Closure meaning the end of anything--a friendship, a home, a life.
4. Janet Jackson - Together Again
Always makes me feel better when somebody I love passes away.
5. OutKast - B.O.B.
Not everyone's favorite but this song is an excellent pick-me-up. Good for keeping the nerves off.
6. Yannick Noah - Aux Arbres Citoyens
My favorite "save the world" song/video.
7. Janet Jackson - Feedback (Moto Blanco Full Vocal Remix)
Best party song I know of.
8. Janet Jackson - Any Time, Any Place / Nine Inch Nails - Discipline
Sex songs.

Christina Aguilera - Fighter (All the obstacles I face make me strong in the end)
OneRepublic - Stop And Stare (I sometimes stop and take a look at my life to see what direction I should be going in)
Enya - Only Time (A beautiful song which I think many can relate to)
Jordin Sparks - One Step At A Time (Pretty self-explanatory)
Flyleaf - All Around Me (I can relate to this song because of my faith, which I am proud of)

Avril Lavigne - Nobody's Home: I constantly feel like I don't belong anywhere in the entire world and this song exactly describes those moments.
Brandy - Right Here (Departed): Whenever I need a quick jolt of optimism, this is the song of choice.
T.I. - No Matter What: Life can throw whatever it wants at me, I'll always rise back up!
112 - Nowhere: Because love is and should be a very important part in everyone's life. This is the ultimate love song for me!
Keith Sweat - Nobody: See above
Natasha Bedingfield - Soulmate: Describes my exact situation at this moment
John Mayer - Love Song For No One: See above
Christina Aguilera - Fighter: For all the people who hurt me in the past!
Brandy - Finally: Because it makes me believe that I won't ALWAYS feel like I don't belong.
Ruff Endz - Someone to Love You: Because it makes me believe that one day I'll find my soulmate.
Sammie - Come With Me: See above
Day26 - Co Star: Because it's the ultimate sex song! And sex <33333
Blackstreet - Take me There: Yeah this is from the Rugrats movie soundtrack but it's SOOOOO uplifting! It's usually the song I play when I'm happy.
R. Kelly - I Wish: When someone important for me dies, I ***** this for weeks.
Juelz Santana - Changes: Because it's the perfect song to remind me that life is anything but predictable.
Lil' Rob - Summer Nights: Because SUMMER is my favorite part of each year, and this song couldn't do a better job at describing how amazing summer is.
Enur ft Natasja - Calabria 2007: Because clubbing is how I blow off steam, and this song ALWAYS gets played at the club!
There's a whole lot more (specially from the 90s) but these are the ones that sum up my life most accurately.
