I'm pretty sure everyone will say that. That's why Dark Horse (3rd single) outsold Shake it Off (lead single) everywhere.
Shake it Off is in the same league with Roar, basic lyrics and generic production, DH had new elements in pop music that hasn't been done by any major pop star, that's why it was so huge and widely accepted by every generation, it was different and interesting and its production certainly deserved a nomination more than SIO.
Besides, you're a Gaga stan, of course you're gonna say SIO is better.

But in my personal opinion; both songs are pretty lackluster in production, but with SIO being more recent and more currently trendy in lieu of Dark Horse, which made more impact with the underground scene sonically than in the pop world. I would have been surprised if SIO WASN'T nominated, tbh.

More like, no, it's stans of all stripes, including me, a Kelly/Marina stan, who just believe (and happen to have fully functioning ears) that SIO is genuinely the better song.

Why do y'all always have to bring up Gaga/little monsters? I think it's just a coping mechanism, since y'all must be so tired of watching Taylor destroy your fave, that you have to bring out the old punching bag/easy target (Gaga) to make yourselves feel better, and to make your fave look better.
