It will never compare to the original, but I will watch this in the theater. all I ask is that they change the godawful last 10 minutes of it. we ain't here for no arachnids.
Yes, the original is still the creepiest movie for me as a kid and I loved it but I'm here for them doing it even better.
If they go by the book to heart, it's gonna be amazing!!!

Though I still like the TV film. Mostly because of Tim Curry's portrayal of Pennywise. I doubt whoever they get to play him in the new version will be as great but I'll still watch, especially if they're going to be more faithful to the novel.
I only ever read the prologue of the book for an activity in English class, but it scared me enough for me to steer clear from anything related to it lmao.
But then I saw a post on Reddit about the film remake and was interested... until I read one of the comments talking about how the novel had an underage gangbang...
I dunno if they kept that in the first film adaptation (I doubt it) but good lord... What the hell Stephen King?
I might watch this one someday with friends during one of our horror movie nights lol (assuming they leave out the gangbang, which they most certainly will I'm sure).
