Some people out there think pitbulls (bread of dog, not bread of pop singer) are a dangerous dog that need to be banned because they are known to be violent. What are you thoughts on this? Have you ever had a bad experience with a pitbull? I'm asking because I'm seeing a large viral picture about it on Facebook. Personally I wouldn't own one because they freak me out, but those who do want to own them should be aloud to right? As long as they have the ability and patience to train them into lovely dogs I don't see the issue? Discuss.

Stupid. Whether a dog is violent lies within the individual dog, not the whole breed. It's safer to have a pitbull around your children than a dalmatian for christs sakes.
I have a pitbull and he's the biggest baby in the world. It's all about how to raise your dog. It's sad that pitbulls get these reps because people who get them use them for negativity. My veterinary says she has to muzzle more labs and german shepards than pitbulls.

I'm cuddling with a pitbull right now. They're not violent dogs, they're just a good choice for dog fighting because there are many of them and they have strong jaws and upperbacks, which is where the notion that they're dangerous comes from.
Tldr; If your dog is ****, it is only because you are ****.

Thank you. We've had many pitbulls and they can be the nicest dogs ever. It all depends on how they're raised just like humans etc.
Every dog can be violent if they had bad experiences in their first year. Dogs are very sensible of what happens to them while they're young, so if they're treated bad or feel like they don't belong in the group since they are puppies, they will grow violent. Pitbulls can be the nicest dogs ever, but people started to own them because it was the cool thing to do and treated them like some time of soldiers of the dog world, so most of them are uneducated and violent.
It's true that they trend to be difficult to train, but dalmatians and shiba inus are actually more dangerous.
I knew the guy who was attacked by one. They got banned in the state after that
